This is a stationary, hands-free desktop barcode scanner built for retail checkouts, pharmacies, and supermarkets. It uses a 1D laser to quickly scan product barcodes, and the adjustable head lets you angle it exactly where you need it. The trade-off is that it's strictly wired (USB) and only reads 1D barcodes, but for high-volume, point-of-sale environments where speed and hands-free operation matter, it's a reliable workhorse.
