HP LaserJet Pro M706n Mono Laser Printer

This is HP's A3-capable mono laser workhorse for offices that need to print large-format documents alongside everyday A4 jobs. It's a print-only unit, but it's fast — 35 ppm on A4 and 18 ppm on A3 — with a serious 65,000-page monthly duty cycle. The trade-off is no wireless and manual duplex only, but Fast Ethernet and USB handle connectivity fine for a shared office machine. If you need A3 printing without stepping up to a production-class printer, this is one of the more affordable ways in.

• Up to 35 ppm (ISO A4) / 35 ppm (ISO Letter) — quick for a mono laser in this class

• Up to 1200 × 1200 dpi for sharp text and fine lines
